The 5 Senses
We did a 5 senses rotation on Monday and Tuesday of Thanksgiving week. Every kindergarten student received identical lessons presented by each kindergarten teacher.
Mrs. Davis helped us to identify sounds and noises by focusing on the sense of hearing.
Mrs. Campion prepared a taste test with bitter, sour, sweet and salty foods.
Mrs. Bartlett had food in covered jars. The children had to use their sense of smell to identify the food.
Ms. McCluskey taught about the sense of touch by using feely boxes for the children to identify hidden items in each box.
Mrs. MacDougall brought all 5 senses together as the children built a senses bear.

THE EGGS ARE HERE!
Our class is incubating chicken eggs! We set 16 eggs in the incubator on Wednesday (4/27) afternoon, and will patiently await the arrival of some baby chicks in about 21 days. We will extend our learning during this time as we explore the life cycle of a chicken and other oviparous animals. Be sure to check off one day on your chick development chart each morning as we count down to "Hatch Day"!
